On Monday Night Football, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith has been a special kind of horrendous. Smith is consistently talked about as a game manager, and against the Green Bay Packers, that would be a massive compliment.
In the middle of the third quarter, Smith is 5-of-11 for 50 yards without a touchdown or an interception. Incredibly, that stat line does not do Smith’s awful play justice. While Smith has been under siege much of the evening, there have been ample attempts to throw and Smith refuses.
Here is how Twitter feels about Smith:
A short joke: Aaron Rodgers and Alex Smith were both drafted in 2005. The latter was drafted first overall. That's the joke.

And folks advocating trading Alex Smith this year, which has a zero percent chance of happening, that would a *$40M* cap hit. Impossible.

Cool that the Texans defense couldn't figure out that Alex Smith was going to throw screen passes, though.

We interrupt this Twitter hatred because Smith threw a disastrous interception to Sam Shields despite Albert Wilson being open behind him for a potential gain of about 70. Back to the hate.
Alex Smith throws a trash pick.

You get the point. Maybe Andy Reid should give Chase Daniel a chance.
