Week 3 in the NFL was an extremely important one for many NFL teams, and a meaningful one for fantasy football teams as well.  Some teams got a much-needed win to avoid starting the year 0-3 like the Eagles, Colts, and the Seahawks.  The Patriots, Cardinals, Panthers, and Bengals all moved to 3-0 with big wins while the Jets and Cowboys both were handed their first loss of the season.  To check out what individual players rose to the occasion and which were disappointments, scroll through the following slides for my complete fantasy football week 3 recap.

More from Arizona Cardinals

For each of the main fantasy football positions–quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end–I’ve listed some of the biggest studs, some of the biggest duds, and the biggest sleepers.  The studs are players who came into the week with high expectations and delivered on their promise with big numbers.  The duds are players who were expected to perform this week, but who failed to deliver due to injury or ineffectiveness.  Finally, the sleepers at each position are designed to highlight some of the players who weren’t expected to make big fantasy contributions but who had solid fantasy football week 3’s and may have some value for your fantasy team going forward.

If you are looking to improve your team by adding some of the sleepers listed, make sure to check back tomorrow morning for my full top 10 waiver wire pickups post in which I’ll break down who you should target to bolster your roster.  In order to stay locked in to all the fantasy football coverage at Fansided drop a bookmark over on our fantasy football hub and follow us on Twitter @FansidedFantasy.  I’ll be happy to answer as many fantasy sports questions as possible on Twitter so let me know how I can help your team whether you’re 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, or the dreaded 0-3 and looking for a comeback.

Week 3 had some pretty major injuries with Big Ben and Marshawn Lynch leading the way.  There were also a few step-up performances and a few major no-shows. The Patriots, Falcons, Cardinals, and Bills keep pouring on the points while the Seahawks defense looked back to its best by allowing none.
