The New York Jets lost their first game of 2015 on Sunday, and then one of the coaches’s kids went off on the team on Twitter…from inside the locker room.
It was a bad weekend for those related to NFL players or coaches. First, we had the wife of a Miami Dolphins player assaulting a police officer after Sunday’s game. But the latter may in fact take the cake.
It’s one thing when someone decides to disparage a team and its players on the internet. It comes with the territory. It isn’t even out of the ordinary when it comes from the families of players and coaches. However, it is a whole other deal when said remarks are being made while the boy genius is still standing within the locker room.
That’s exactly what happened when the son of Jets’ tight ends coach Jimmie Johnson (no, not that one) took to Twitter from inside the Jets locker room and dropped these beauties for the internet to behold.

Needless to say, that won’t earn him any favors among the team players, especially the likes of Geno Smith and Antonio Cromartie. While Smith has already taken a broken jaw to stand up for himself, Cromartie doesn’t appear likely to back down from this one either.

Let’s face facts, if you’re lucky enough to have yourself unrestricted access to players in the locker room, there’s likely a fine line of things you don’t do. Johnson’s son obviously crossed that line in spectacular fashion. While it won’t necessarily have any blow back on his father, it most certainly will mean that Jimmy Junior will be spending Sunday watching the game from a less swanky location.
Hope you like being back in your parents’ baseman son!
