As the talks between the Cavaliers and Tristan Thompson keep going, LeBron James is insisting that he’s not involved
The NBA season is very close to us right now, and with this, we get set for another season of watching LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers chase that elusive NBA title. However, as we know, they’re not really on the same terms with one of their key pieces, forward Tristan Thompson. Supposedly, the contract talks between the two are still pretty far apart.
Because of this, you might expect that LeBron would step in and help with the process. You’d also expect this seeing as they have the same agent in Rich Paul as well.
Well, that’s not really the case. At media day on Monday, LeBron came right out and noted that he’s not involved in the talks whatsoever.

Some will believe what James is saying here, while others probably won’t. But the fact of the matter is that Thompson was pretty integral in the run that the Cavaliers made last year, especially in the postseason. Plus, it’s really no secret that James loves having him down low doing the work that he does on the glass.
For now, though, James is sticking to his guns in saying that he’s leaving this one entirely to the brass.
