At this point a non-surprising week would be a big surprise.

Last week there were so many surprises in the league that there were two bonus items on this list. As the season progresses, however, some surprises become far less shocking. The Ravens lost to the Bengals and are 0-3. At a certain point, poor performance isn’t an eyebrow-raising aberration, it is a sign the team might not be that good. The Ravens hit that point in Week 3. Not a surprise.

Likewise, the Seahawks and Eagles finally won. Plenty of teams start 0-2 and go on to see postseason play. For the moment those two clubs are no longer on red-alert. The seed has been planted that they might not be as dominant as anticipated this season, but they’re finally on the right side of the win column. We’re also all used to the idea that the Bills might be fielding a decent team this year, something that came as a surprise in Week 1.

Week 3 brought some predictable wins. Who really thought the Jaguars would pull off an upset against the Patriots? And, though Tennessee put up a fight, Indianapolis managed to come out on top with a score of 35-33.

What was surprising this week? Here’s a look at some of the good and bad from Week 3.
