Jay Cutler is considered day-to-day ahead of Week 4.

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is still recovering from a hamstring injury that he sustained in a Week 2 loss against the Arizona Cardinals.

Jimmy Clausen was forced two start in Cutler’s place against the Seattle Seahawks, and they suffered another blowout loss, as they fell 26-0.

However, the Bears may see their starting quarterback return soon as he claims that his recovery is now day-to-day, according to the official Bears Twitter account.

The Bears currently hold an 0-3 record, but they have a prime opportunity to snag their first win of the season against a Oakland Raiders team that still has yet to prove whether they are contenders or pretenders.

However, the Bears figure to be in the running for the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft since their struggles from last season are continuing.

The Bears’ defensive woes have also persisted this season, as they have been unable to hold any of their opponents to less than 26 points.

They even allowed the Arizona Cardinals to score 48 on them.

Cutler has not proven to be a consistently reliable quarterback either, as he has only led his team to the playoffs once in his career while never posting a passer rating higher than 89.2 in a season.

His job may not get any easier even if he returns against the Raiders.

Pro Bowl wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has missed the last two games and is still being limited in practice with a hamstring injury like Cutler.
