Rick Pitino responds to Louisville Basketball escort allegations

After allegations came to light about the Louisville Basketball team and escorts, Rick Pitino has responded quickly
Friday afternoon we learned of some allegations against the Louisville Basketball program that were not very pleasing. According a book written by a Louisville, a former basketball staffer coughed up the dough to have escorts get together with some of the players from the 2013 team.
Allegations such as these could be pretty damaging to a program, so with that being the case, you wait to hear a response from some of the higher-ups. Well, when it comes to Louisville Basketball, you can’t really get any higher up than legendary head coach Rick Pitino.
Not very long after these allegations became public, Pitino was very quick to issue his stance on the matter. And as you would expect, he’s denying any of this took place right off the bat.
It’s good for Louisville that Pitino is jumping right out in front here to hit this head-on; it shows that they’re not going to tolerate this kind of mud being slung in the direction of their program, especially if these allegations turn out to be untrue.
All of this is still pretty new, as we’re just hearing about this on Friday, but Louisville appears to be trying to take this down as quickly as possible.
However, from there, Pitino did make a comment that turned some heads. From the way he phrased this next statement, it would seem to imply that he’s not completely denying that this took place.
