No. 21 Mississippi State vs. No. 14 Texas A&M
Saturday’s matchup between the Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-1) and Texas A&M Aggies (4-0) at Kyle Field features two of the most efficient quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference.
For Texas A&M, Kyle Allen has proven himself to be the right quarterback to lead the Aggies’ high-powered offensive attack. Last week against Arkansas, Allen passed for 358 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, helping his team to mount a thrilling comeback over the Razorbacks. Wide receiver Christian Kirk was phenomenal as well, recording 173 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions. The biggest issue for Texas A&M was their defense, which had no answer for Arkansas’ multi-dimensional offense.
Mississippi State is led by Dak Prescott under center. Prescott is arguably the most talented dual-threat quarterback in college football. The Bulldogs’ senior leader has recorded 1,190 total yards and nine touchdowns with zero interceptions through the first four games of the season. Mississippi State is 1-1 in conference play, but could separate themselves as the No. 3 team in the SEC West with a victory on Saturday. Much like Texas A&M, though, they will be hindered by question marks on the defensive side of the ball.
The game will be televised on the SEC Network, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Live Streaming will be available via Watch ESPN.
