Texas Tech vs. No. 5 Baylor
The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Baylor Bears will converge upon Arlington, Texas this Saturday for the 2015 Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Shootout at AT&T Stadium.
Texas Tech is looking to avoid an emotional hangover after losing to the No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs at home last week in heartbreaking fashion. The Red Raiders led by four in the final minute, but TCU scored on a tipped pass on fourth-and-goal for the game-winning touchdown. Sophomore quarterback Patrick Mahomes II was solid under center for Texas Tech, passing for 392 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers.
Baylor will face its first major test of the season, after starting its 2015 campaign with showdowns against SMU, Lamar and Rice. Quarterback Seth Russell has been phenomenal so far this year, with his 12.4 yards per pass attempt ranking No. 1 in the country. The Bears offense will be leaning heavily on Russell, as they look to record their fourth consecutive 700-yard performance.
Since 2009, the rivalry game between the Red Raiders has been played on a neutral site in the Dallas area. Baylor has won the past four contests after ending a 15-game losing streak to the Red Raiders in 2011.
The game will be televised on ABC, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Live Streaming will be available via Watch ESPN.
