Now that the 2015 Major League Baseball season is over, who was the man that came away with the National League batting title?

After what was yet another exciting Major League Baseball season, sadly everything thing came to a close on Sunday in regards to regular season play. Throughout the year, we saw some great individual performances, so you’re probably wondering what some of the best of the best actually ended up being. One of the categories you’re probably wondering about is that of the National League batting title.

Well, with the 2015 regular season in the books, that honor will go to Dee Gordon of the Miami Marlins, who finished the year with a .333 average.

No, Gordon doesn’t play on the best overall team in the game in the Marlins, but the 27-year-old certainly is a young bright spot on a team that will be looking to contend in the National League East again some day soon.

This was Gordon’s first year with the Marlins after coming over from the Los Angeles Dodgers in a trade last December.

Again, Gordon is one of the best young players that this Marlins team has, but he was only signed through this year. He is arbitration eligible in 2016, so it’ll be interesting to see whether or not they can keep this bat in the lineup for the foreseeable future along with Giancarlo Stanton. Those two bats in the lineup alone are something nice to build around.

But, for now, the Marlins can revel in the fact that they’re in possession of the National League batting champ for 2015, Dee Gordon.
