Keenan Allen lays out for touchdown catch (Video)
The San Diego Chargers got on the board thanks to a superb Keenan Allen catch
The San Diego Chargers fell behind the Cleveland Browns early on in Week 4 after the Browns were able to get a field goal late in the first quarter. However, it didn’t take long for Philip Rivers and Keenan Allen to connect for an answer.

In just over three minutes, the Chargers marched 80 yards on eight plays. They found their way into the end zone on a beautiful 28-yard pass from Rivers to Allen that Allen had to make a diving play on to haul in for the score:
There’s so much to love about that play from San Diego. First, you have to love the effort and concentration by Allen on the receiving end to be able to lay out to make the catch, but also still be able to maintain control while flying into the endzone. However, that catch isn’t even possible without a near flawless throw from Rivers. That ball is in a spot where Allen is the only one who has a play on it, which is exactly what you want and need in that situation.
Unfortunately, the Chargers gave up the lead they got after that catch on the very next drive. With Rivers and Allen in-sync like that, the Browns recapturing the lead might not be something that lasts.
