The Seattle Seahawks are hosting the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football at CenturyLink Field, and Vegas sees them as a massive favorites. Seattle is laying 10 points with the over/under set at 43.5, according to BOVADA.

Seattle is almost unbeatable at home, which is a major part of the line being so high. The Seahawks went 7-1 there in 2014, only losing to Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys. The Seahawks did hold the record for sound in an outdoor stadium until October of last year, when the Kansas City Chiefs took the record back.

The Lions are also playing poor football on both sides of the ball. In Week 1, Detroit allowed 33 points to the San Diego Chargers en route to blowing a 21-3 second-quarter lead. The following week saw Matthew Stafford lead the team in rushing, thanks to a horrific offensive line and offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi refusing to give Joique Bell and Ameer Abdullah enough touches.

Detroit is 0-3 and must win this game to avoid almost certainly missing the postseason, while Seattle hopes to climb only one game behind the Arizona Cardinals in the tough NFC West.

As for trends, both of these teams are deplorable against the spread. Over their last six games, the Seahawks are 1-4-1 ATS, per OddsShark. The Lions are no better, registering a 1-7 mark over their previous eight games against the spread. Perhaps the best way to look at this game is through the following prism … Seattle is 27-2 over its last 29 home games and Detroit never covers the spread.
