The Texas Rangers will be returning to the playoffs for the first time since the 2012 season. They held off the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for the American League West title by winning two games in their four-game series to close out the season at home.
Rangers fans have plenty of reason to celebrate since they will see their team go back to the playoffs, but those with big appetites may be even more excited about the stadium’s food plans for the playoff games. The Rangers will add new food items that have never been made before.
ESPN Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell tweeted out some of the Rangers’ newest and most interesting additions to their menu. The most popular limited-time menu attraction will probably be the cotton candy hot dogs, which is called the “Sweet Spot Cotton Candy Dog,” will sell for $10.
Rangers Ballpark in Arlington will also sell the Inside Out Hot Dog, which will be much more expensive at $26. This hot dog will consist of mac and cheese or potatoes, along with other toppings such as chili.
Rangers fans are much more likely to get bang for their buck with another item that costs $26 though. The Elvis Jabberdog is a two-foot long brownie that will put the Dodger dog and fair foods to shame. This monstrous dessert is deep-fried with Rice Krispie crust and funnel cake batter.
Heart attacks may become a problem if anyone indulges too much on any of these foods because they are virtually guaranteed to fill even the hungriest fans. The Rangers’ first priority will be to satisfy their own hunger though, which will be in the form of making a World Series run after two consecutive World Series losses in 2010-11.
