Billy Kilmer Division

14. Tyrod Taylor

13. Peyton Manning

Manning has the Denver Broncos at 4-0, but there are still concerns about his play. While he has been better over the past two weeks, Manning is still throwing for 6.29 yards per attempt, better only that Mallett, Stafford and Kaepernick. Manning also is on pace for 20 interceptions.

12. Nick Foles

Bernie Kosar Division

11. Russell Wilson

10. Alex Smith

Smith has been crushed nationally, but when you realize he is on pace to throw for 4,400 yards with a 65 percent completion percentage, you pause. You really pause when you take in that he’s been sacked a league-high 18 times and has one legitimate receiver. Maybe Smith is better than we give him credit for?

9. Derek Carr

8. Marcus Mariota

Phil Simms Division

7. Eli Manning

Manning is playing solid football, keeping the New York Giants in the race for the NFC East. Manning has tossed seven touchdowns against one interception, while racking up a 96.4 quarterback rating.

6. Carson Palmer

5. Philip Rivers

Rivers leads the NFL in passing yardage with 1,248 yards. The 33-year-old veteran also has eight touchdown passes and is completing over 70 percent of his throws. If not for Rivers, the San Diego Chargers would be 0-4 right now.

4. Matt Ryan

3. Andy Dalton

Joe Montana Division

2. Tom Brady

1. Aaron Rodgers

Right now, he’s the best player in football, period. Rodgers has been incredible, throwing for 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions over the Green Bay Packers’ first four games. Rodgers now heads home to Lambeau Field, where he has not thrown an interception since Dec. 2012.
