Derek Fisher and the Knicks are int he news for embarrassing reasons well before the season has started, and Twitter was on fire with every triangle joke you can think of.
We all thought we were going to have a normal Wednesday afternoon waiting for the Cubs-Pirates playoff game, but both Matt Barnes and Derek Fisher had other ideas about that.
While the incident in question didn’t happen today, it was reported that both Fisher and Barnes were involved in an altercation over the fact that Fisher is dating the ex-wife of Barnes. What makes this classic isn’t just that they had an altercation about this at the home of Barnes’ ex-wife, but that Barnes drove 95 miles to confront a head coach in the NBA for having relations with a former lover.
Needless to say, Twitter lit up with every single triangle offense joke you could think of:
Derek Fisher won't press charges on Matt Barnes. It wouldn't have helped anyway. Every time Fisher is involved in charges, it's a huge flop.

Derek Fisher is coaching the triangle offense and is a part of the love triangle.

Derek Fisher is taking this Triangle philosophy a little too seriously.

At least we know Derek Fisher is truly committed to the triangle.

Twitter usually has zero chill, but this it’s for moments like this that the social media platform was built.
