Jake Arrieta’s son poured champagne in his mouth during the Chicago Cubs’ celebration of their Wild Card Game win.
The Chicago Cubs were popping champagne and celebrating in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night after beating the Pirates in the wild Card round to advance to the National League Divisional Series. Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta pitched a compelte game shutout to clinch the game and celebrated with his son afterwards.
Typically champagne is sprayed, and that certainly occurred, but Arrieta was able to celebrate with his son in an adorable moment. Arrieta’s son poured champagne in his mouth as he celebrated.
You can almost watch it happen in a series of photos from Charles LeClaire of USA TODAY Sports.

Then Arrieta’s son, named Cooper, seems to spot the bottle.

Then it was time to pour.

This kid will cherish these photos forever, and it will probably make a great show and tell item at school.
