The upcoming match-up between the United States and Mexico at the CONCACAF Cup already had a bunch of hype. Now it has Donald Trump.

With all the headlines that presidential candidate Donald Trump has been making with his questionable views towards Mexico, he would seem to be a rather controversial choice with which to build a hype video around. That doesn’t seem to phase Fox Sports.

Fox Sports will be broadcasting the big match between the United States and Mexico on Saturday at 6:30pm Pacific Time and wanted to build a little extra hype for the event. Naturally, they felt that Donald Trump would be the perfect catalyst in which to build said hype around.

The video itself seems fairly innocuous enough, simply overlaying Trump over some scenes of both teams playing and making sure they chose carefully what clips from Trump to use. However his inclusion in this event, given his strained views on relations with our neighbors to the south (not to mention his relationship with Fox in general), makes it a conspicuous choice to say the least.

Needless to say, even the most die-hard soccer fans are having a tough time getting behind use Donald Trump to sell this game. Many of them have taken to social media to voice their displeasure with the video.

Needless to say, the choice was in pretty poor taste and viewers are not feeling it. It would be shocking if Fox didn’t recant it and offer up some apology in the near future.
