The Denver Broncos were looking to build on a solid start to the year and improve to 5-0, but they had a tough time against the Oakland Raiders.
Peyton Manning is looking older and older by the game as the Denver Broncos hit the road to take on the Oakland Raiders in week six. The Broncos’ star quarterback may not have had his best game, but he’s starting to really look like he’s just a couple months away from retirement.
Although he didn’t play his best game, completing 22-of-35 yards for 266 yards and two picks, the veteran quarterback found a way to win like he always seems to do. Manning led his unbeaten Broncos into Oakland and stole a victory from the Raiders.
It was all on Manning and the Broncos’ defense to get the job done as Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson are combining for a mediocre run game.
Derek Carr threw a costly pick-six late in the game that sealed the Raiders’ fate. He was 26-of-39 for
Much like the Broncos, it was up to Charles Woodson and the Raiders’ defense to keep them in this game while the run game suffered behind Derek Carr. The second-year quarterback can only do so much before his running backs need to help him out.
Three Stars
Chris Harris Jr. had the play of the game, earning the first star position. He had the game-clinching pick-six in the fourth quarter for the Broncos.
Emmanuel Sanders is starting to look like a superstar at the receiver position, catching nine passes for 111 yards.
Von Miller had a key defensive play for the Broncos with a sack, forced fumble and recovery all on one play.

Odds
Denver was a 4.5-point favorite and the over/under was 44.5 points for this one. Not many people thought this would be a defensive battle, but it was. The game just totaled 26 points, but if you chose the Broncos to cover, you’re smarter than you look.
Next Week
The Broncos will be hitting the road to take on the Cleveland Browns next week in an AFC battle. They will be looking to maintain their unbeaten streak and take down a Cleveland team that is coming off a confidence-boosting win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Oakland will have a bye next week and it comes at a good time seeing as this team has fallen to 2-3 and looks to be really struggling with confidence.
