Charles Woodson intercepts Peyton Manning for first time in 18 years (Video)

Charles Woodson finally achieved something that evaded him his entire career by intercepting Peyton Manning twice.
The Oakland Raiders are hanging tough with the Denver Broncos as they trail, 16-10, in the fourth quarter. They have made Sunday a nightmare for quarterback Peyton Manning, who has thrown two interceptions on the day. Raiders safety Charles Woodson has single-handedly frustrated the Broncos quarterback by coming up with both interceptions.
Woodson had never intercepted Manning before in his 18-year career, but he checked another accomplishment off his Hall of Fame bucket list. The longtime Raider’s first interception of the day couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. He picked off Manning in the end zone just as the first half was coming to a close, preventing the Broncos from scoring the go-ahead touchdown before halftime.
The eight-time Pro Bowler made an even more impressive play in the second half that is usually only seen on Madden. Woodson jumped in front of Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to make an acrobatic catch and log his second interception. This was the sort of play that would make New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. gasp.
Woodson now has 64 interceptions in his long career, and he continues to be a reliable starter in the Raiders defense despite being 39 years old. Woodson will likely be finishing his career with the team he began his career with before a seven-year stint with the Green Bay Packers, and he’ll be able to finally say that he intercepted Manning during his career.
