Tight End Week 5 sleepers

Charles Clay-Buffalo Bills (FD-5,700, DK-4,100): Clay continued his emergence last week with nine catches for a season-high 111 yards while leading the Bills in targets.  This week against the Titans look for Tyrod Taylor to continue to look his way often with Sammy Watkins, Karlos Williams, and LeSean McCoy all sidelined.

Delanie Walker-Tennessee Titans (FD-5,400, DK-3,800): On the other side of the Titans-Bills matchup, Delanie Walker also makes a good play as he establishes a rapport with Marcus Mariota.  Walker missed week 2 with a wrist injury but returned with seven catches for 68 yards in week 3.  With a week to get healthy on the Titans’ bye, look for him to continue to be a solid low-end TE1.

Gary Barnidge-Cleveland Browns (FD-5,400, DK-3,800): Another tight end emerging as a weapon based on his connection with his QB is Gary Barnidge who has burst onto the scene with Josh McCown working at QB for Cleveland.  Barnidge caught six passes for 75 yards last week while finding the end zone for the second straight week.  Typically, the Ravens cover TE pretty well, so I’d lean toward Walker as a slightly better play although both are good week 5 sleepers.

Marcedes Lewis-Jacksonville Jaguars (FD-4,700, DK-2,500): Lewis caught five passes for 40 yards last week, and he could play a role in the Jaguars offense again this week if Julius Thomas is again inactive. Check Thomas’s status, but if the big former-Bronco is still out, look for Lewis to get another game to contribute meaningful numbers.

Week 4 Picks: Charles Clay, Gary Barnidge, Garrett Celek
