Jay Cutler scored the first touchdown of the game on Sunday — for the wrong team.
The Chicago Bears pick up their first win of the season last week against Oakland, but things are’t going so hot this week against the Chiefs.
After trading possessions to start the game, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler went full Cutlet and scored a touchdown for the wrong team. This is something that Cutler is prone to doing, but this time it wasn’t an interception.
Instead, Cutler and the Bears literally fumbled their possession away when they were pinned deep inside their own territory and pushed up back against their own goal line.
In true Jay Cutler fashion, it wasn’t enough for the quarterback to give up a safety, as he fumbled the ball and it was recovered for a touchdown.
Cutler and the Bears are a mess this season, and this play pretty much sums that all up. They’re playing with a rookie center who is getting mauled by the Chiefs top shelf defense this weekend, and the fact that Jay Cutler is already mistake prone as it is doesn’t help things at all.
