Jay Cutler threw the most Jay Cutler game-winning touchdown ever for the Bears
The Chicago Bears were devoid of many of their weapons in the passing game on Sunday afternoon as they took on the Kansas City Chiefs. With the Bears down 17-12 with just over two minutes remaining, it seemed relatively hopeless for Chicago without those receiving weapons. However, Jay Cutler improbably made something happen for his team.
Cutler drove the Bears 67 yards down the field in under two minutes, but it was the final play of the drive that was undeniably in the style of Cutler. Seven yards out of the end zone, Cutler fumbled the snap. He picked it up and somehow managed to beat the pass rush and find Matt Forte for what would be the game-winning touchdown:
Is there any other quarterback in the NFL you would expect to fumble the snap on a game-winning throw other than Cutler? The answer is absolutely not because it describes basically every Bears fans feelings on the quarterback.
Regardless of those feelings and the botched snap, though, Cutler came through when it mattered and forged a win for his team despite how short-handed the offense was coming into the game. Say what you will about Cutler, but he does some positive things for his team, which is more than can be said about Jimmy Clausen.
