The Rangers are battling the Blue Jays and the Based God in game 3

The Toronto Blue Jays face the Texas Rangers on Sunday night for Game 3 of their ALDS series and the Jays, down 2-0 in the series, need a win to avoid going home. Luckily for them, one Toronto politician reached out to the one power that can save or curse any sports team: rapper Lil B.

Norm Kelly, the city councilor of Toronto, reached out to Lil B on Twitter on Sunday afternoon, asking the Based God to help his Blue Jays:

Ever the gracious giver of blessings, Lil B obliged Kelly’s request and extended his love to Kelly and all of Canada:

After Lil B’s reply, Kelly did the only acceptable thing and thanked the Based God for granting his request:

Considering that Lil B blessed the Texas Longhorns this weekend as they went on to upset the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry, it’s safe to say that there’s no way that the Blue Jays are going home after game 3.

It’s still more than mildly absurd that Lil B’s blessings and curses hold so much weight in the world of sports, but you can’t argue with his track record at this point. Good luck battling the power of the Based God, Rangers.
