Sam Bradford threw two of the worst passes in the red zone that you’ll ever see in the NFL

Sam Bradford joining the Philadelphia Eagles in Chip Kelly’s offense this season caused a groundswell of hope among Eagles fans and Kelly apologists. Through the first four weeks of the 2015 season, Bradford has been undeniably disappointing. In Philly’s Week 5 matchup with the New Orleans Saints, it’s only getting worse for Bradford and the Eagles.

It started with a red zone trip midway through the first quarter after Bradford had orchestrated a nice march down the field. Once inside the 20, though, he wet the bed in a big way as he horribly underthrew Riley Cooper in the end zone and got picked off:

One red zone interception is bad enough, but Bradford and the Eagles have been doing things to make you shake your head in excess this season. Subsequently, he drove the offense down the field again on the Eagles’ next drive only to throw another horribly thrown ball in the red zone and have that one be intercepted as well:

In fairness, Bradford rebounded and connected for a deep touchdown pass on Philadelphia’s next drive, but he has to be better in the red zone than those passes. Those balls look like they’re being thrown while he’s being truck sticked, but he’s all by his lonesome with all the time in the world. That’s unacceptable and, quite frankly, embarrassing.
