St. Louis Rams vs Green Bay Packers: Full highlights and recap
It wasn’t always pretty, but the Green Bay Packers pulled off yet another home victory at Lambeau Field, this time against the visiting St. Louis Rams.
Aaron Rodgers had one of his worst days in recent memory, as he generated three turnovers on the day. After going roughly a billion (give or take a few) games without one at home, Mr. Rodgers tossed two against the Rams. Nonetheless, he combatted them two touchdowns on the day. He was also buouyed by a stifling defense that pitched a second-half shutout.
It’s not all doom and gloom for the Rams, however. Even in defeat they can now be sure that the first-round investment on Todd Gurley was worth it. The rookie running back out of Georgia rushed for 159 yards on the day (a healthy 5.3 average) and showcased his impressive skill set. After a slow start in his first NFL game, Gurley has now run for over 145 yards in the past to contests and is officially in the discussion for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Three stars
Todd Gurley: 30 carries, 159 yards
