Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls challenged his inner Beast Mode for a 69-yard touchdown run.

The Seattle Seahawks are taking full advantage of their opportunity to pull off a statement win against the Cincinnati Bengals as they lead, 24-7, in the third quarter. The Seahawks are still without starting running back Marshawn Lynch, who continues to nurse a hamstring injury. However, running back Thomas Rawls is doing everything he can to help Seahawks fans not miss Lynch.

Rawls made a “Beast Mode” play of his own by running for a 69-yard touchdown while breaking tackles, which Lynch is well-known for doing.

The Seahawks defense has also regained its form since the return of strong safety Kam Chancellor, as they are shutting down the Bengals offense so far. Running backs Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard have struggled to gain rushing yards, as the Seahawks have only allowed 38 yards on the ground. Quarterback Andy Dalton has also fallen back down to Earth after looking like a legitimate MVP candidate for the first four games.

Meanwhile, Rawls has gained 135 rushing yards on just 13 carries with his amazing touchdown, which helped the Seahawks pull away from the Bengals after a close second half. The Seahawks are not playing at CenturyLink Field, so Rawls was not able to experience an earthquake that Lynch has set off among rowdy Seahawks fans with his Beast Mode touchdown runs.

However, it appears that the Seahawks are able to field a prolific offense even without their Pro Bowl running back as long as quarterback Russell Wilson is healthy and on the field. It remains to be seen whether the Seahawks can continue to re-emerge as Super Bowl contenders as long as they can leave Cincinnati with a statement win.
