Troy Tulowitzki hits 3-run homer for Toronto Blue Jays (Video)

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking like they will be alive for at least one more day in the MLB postseason, thanks greatly to shortstop Troy Tulowitzki. The Blue Jays have responded well to having their backs against the wall. They hold a 5-0 lead in the seventh inning of Game 3 in the American League Division Series against the Texas Rangers. The Rangers surprisingly won the first two games despite each of them being held in Toronto.
Tulowitzki extended the Blue Jays’ lead with a three-run home run in the sixth inning, decreasing the Rangers’ chances of pulling off another thrilling comeback.
The Rangers stunned the Blue Jays in Game 2, which went to 14 innings. The Rangers scored two runs to put the game away after tying it in the eighth inning to force extras. Tulowitzki is batting in the playoffs for the first time since 2009 with the Colorado Rockies, who traded him to the Blue Jays in July and gave him a much better chance to win a World Series.
The Blue Jays’ chances of making it there are much slimmer now since they would still be down 2-1 and have to win two more to advance to the American League Championship Series. The Blue Jays shortstop has plenty of reason to be excited about his future since he plays for a team filled with strong hitters and a competent pitching staff, but the Rangers have never been easy to defeat in the playoffs since they won their first of two consecutive American League pennants in 2010.
