WR Studs

Andre Johnson-Indianapolis Colts: Johnson had been non-existent through the first four weeks of the season, but fantasy football week 5 was a huge one for him as he returned to Houston to take on the Texans.  Johnson caught a pair of touchdowns and finished with six catches for 77 yards in the Colts 27-20 divisional win.

Allen Robinson-Jacksonville Jaguars: The only receivers with multiple touchdowns this week were Johnson, Allen Robinson, and Jaelen Strong (more on him in a minute).  Robinson caught two of Blake Bortles four touchdown passes while hauling in seven of his nine targets for 72 yards.  Robinson has been solid since his week 1 dud and has a pair of multi-touchdown games this season.  He should be a good play this week as he takes on the Texans who were beaten by Johnson and the Colts in week 5.

Julian Edelman-New England Patriots: Edelman wasn’t his usual-PPR monster-self catching only four passes, but he made them count finishing with 120 yards and a touchdown. Even on a “down” week, he was among the leaders at WR.

Odell Beckham Jr.-New York Giants: Beckham left the game for a while but returned at the end although his touchdown came earlier in the game.  Beckham finishes with 121 yards and a touchdown on his seven catches from a hot Eli Manning.

DeAndre Hopkins-Houston Texans: Hopkins is re-defining target-monster and making all the plays in Houston’s passing attack.  The Texans have been forced to throw the ball a lot since they’ve been playing from behind, and Hopkins has been the main beneficiary.  He finished Thursday night’s game with 11 catches on 14 targets going off for 169 yards.  He didn’t find the end zone, but expect that to change as he and Brian Hoyer team up to take on the Jags this week.

Brandin Cooks-New Orleans Saints: Although the Saints lost a rough game on the road, Cooks had his best game of the season finding the end zone for the first time and finishing with 107 yards on five catches.  He should continue to see plenty of targets and still has big upside even though his start to the season has been a slow one.

Emmanuel Sanders-Denver Broncos: Sanders was the most productive Denver receiver finishing with 111 yards on his nine catches.  He failed to find the end zone for the fourth time in five games, but his 100+ yards was encouraging.  Hopefully the Broncos offense can get something going this week in Cleveland.
