The New York Mets have stormed out to a big lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Mets fans could not be more happy with the way their team has responded to a heartbreaking Game 2 loss.

The Dodgers appeared to be in control of the game early on as they drew first blood with three runs in the second inning. However, Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson got the ball rolling by hitting a three-run double to give the Mets a 4-3 lead.
The Mets have not looked back since, and they have shown no mercy since as outfielder Yoenis Cespedes made the Dodgers’ lives a living hell with a three-run home run. This gave the Mets a 10-3 lead, and fans became jubilant as they began to chant “we want Utley.”
They were clearly still angry with Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley for sliding into second base while hitting Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada in the leg. The Mets shortstop is now sitting out with a broken leg, and Utley has not seen the field yet in Game 3 since Howie Kendrick remains the Dodgers’ starting second baseman.
It is unknown why Mets fans were chanting “we want Utley,” but they do not seem like they would be upset if one of their pitchers threw a fastball at the Dodgers second baseman. Utley has been a longtime rival of the Mets, as he spent most of his career with the Philadelphia Phillies before being traded to the Dodgers with shortstop Jimmy Rollins.
