Edwin Encarnacion lifted the Blue Jays spirits in the sixth inning of Game 5 on Wednesday, igniting the Sky Dome and rousing the fans back to life.

The Toronto Blues Jays were favored to reach the World Series this year when the MLB Postseason began, but they quickly dropped the first two games of the ALDS series against the Rangers and were suddenly backed up against a wall. Down 0-2 and heading to Texas, the Blu Jays rallied to tie the series just in the same way they’ve rallied to tie a decisive Game 5 up in Canada on Wednesday afternoon.

After falling behind 2-0 to Cole Hamels and the Rangers, Ewdin Encarnacion proceeded to get the Blue Jays back in business with a home run that might end up being a deciding factor in this series.

Just watch, as it’s a bomb:

It was a bomb to end all long bombs, and it ignited the Sky Dome which was quickly transformed into the Thunder Dome. It’s not just that the home run tied the game for the Blue Jays, it was that it got the crowd in Toronto back in the game and back in this series. There hadn’t been a lot cheer about at home in the Sky Dome over the course of the series so far but this massive home run might be the thing that turns things around decisively.
