Lil B trolls Texas Rangers, keeps promise to Blue Jays

If you were wondering how the Blue Jays came back to beat the Rangers, just thank Lil B and his infamous voodoo skills.

When the Texas Rangers took a controversial lead in Game 5 of the ALDS, no one could believe what we were about to see. There was no way Texas could win an elimination game on that kind of a call, right?

It wasn’t the bats of the Blue Jays, the roar of the crowd or the strategy of the coaching staff that earned the Blue Jays a series clinching win on Wednesday afternoon. Nope, instead it was the infamous Lil B The Based God curse and the rapper’s voodoo skills that did the trick.

Well, if you believe in that kind of thing. You probably should after today though as Lil B seemingly came through again after putting the hex on Texas before Game 3 earlier last week.

It’s hard to believe in voodoo curses, but it’s also hard to ignore how spot on Lil B has been on a rather consistent basis over the course of his hexing days. Kevin Durant still doesn’t have a ring, James Harden still lost in the Conference Finals last year and now the Rangers are going home after dropping three straight games.

It’s hard to say Lil B was the reason for the Blue Jays storming back in their ALDS series against Texas, but there was a lot of weirdness that happened in that seventh inning — like the Rangers forgetting how to catch the ball on easy putouts — that will never be explained. The question now is, how long will this curse last and how much will it benefit the Blue Jays moving forward?

Someone call Mulder and Scully, Lil B’s curse just went next level and international.
