Welcome back! It’s the Week 6 NFL quarterback rankings, which should have you pumped through the roof. It’s time to get back to business and see which players have risen, and which have hit the proverbial skids.
Without question, we saw Sam Bradford and Jay Cutler elevate their games. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have the duo in Houston and Colin Kaepernick, who continues to be the mayor of NotVeryGoodVille.
Here’s how the fellas stack up:
Chad Hutchinson Division
32. Brandon Weeden
The man just got benched for Matt Cassel. Read that sentence again. Oh, and he lost each of his past 11 starts. Other than that, he is great.
31. Ryan Mallett/Brian Hoyer
30. Mike Vick
Vick is throwing for less than 100 yards per game. The only reason he is not being completely run out of town is Pittsburgh is somehow staying afloat in the playoff race.
Brodie Croyle Division
29. Matthew Stafford
What the heck happened? Stafford has two of the best receivers in the game and he can’t do anything. In fact, he was benched Sunday. Stafford has thrown a league-high eight interceptions.
J.T. O’Sullivan Division
28. Andrew Luck/Matt Hasselbeck
27. Colin Kaepernick
26. Jameis Winston
25. Ryan Tannehill
The Dolphins gave Tannehill an extension this offseason, and then had to fire their coach only four games into the regular season. It’s time to step up.
Neil O’Donnell Division
24. Ryan Fitzpatrick
23. Josh McCown
McCown threw for over 450 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in an overtime win on Sunday. Are the Browns suddenly a sneaky playoff contender in the AFC?
22. Jay Cutler
21. Teddy Bridgewater
Brian Griese Division
20. Cam Newton
19. Kirk Cousins
18. Sam Bradford
Bradford was able to shred the New Orleans Saints, who have one of the worst defenses we have seen in some time. Can he keep it rolling on Monday night against the Giants?
17. Blake Bortles
Bortles has been better. Jacksonville is no good, but Bortles has some weapons on offense. He’s a young guy, though, so he could improve even more.
16. Joe Flacco
Flacco has not been awful, but Baltimore has been. The Super Bowl champion has thrown for 1,262 yards and six touchdowns despite having absolutely no weapons.
15. Tyrod Taylor
