For the draft order for “non-playoff teams” we used their strength of schedule heading into the 2015 season (from 2014) to save us the headache of trying to calculate it based on the current season standings. For those who don’t know, the tie-breaker for teams with the same record is strength of schedule. The team with the easier strength of schedule picks first.

We didn’t have to go any further than strength of schedule for tie-breakers.

For the playoff teams, we identified the eight teams that would be divisional winners and the four teams that would earn wild-card berths. We ranked the four Wild Card teams from worst record to best and followed suit for the division champions.

We put the New England Patriots last as defending champs and alternated AFC-NFC teams.
