This Blue Jays fan got arrested for something just a little strange

The Toronto Blue Jays won in a thrilling series comeback against the Texas Rangers and fought hard for a Game 5 victory. The game was not without controversy, as the Rangers were awarded a run after second baseman Rougned Odor ran home following a play that was assumed to be live by the Rangers. Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin intended to throw the ball back to relief pitcher Aaron Sanchez, but it deflected off of Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo’s bat toward third base.

After a controversial ruling that allowed the Rangers to score the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, Blue Jays fans immediately expressed their outrage over this questionable call while some of them went too far by trashing the field.

One fan even went as far as to throw a beer can in anger, and some of the beer sprayed onto a helpless baby. This caused him to be arrested and escorted out of the game by the police, and Blue Jays players urged their fans to show more orderly conduct.

The fan who was arrested has since been released, but he is due to appear in court on Nov. 24, according to USA Today. He is likely to receive some sort of punishment, as throwing a can toward a baby is sure to be frowned upon. Even if he lands back in jail, he can at least take solace in the fact that the Blue Jays have advanced to the American League Championship Series and are still in the running for the World Series.
