Alabama and Texas A&M battled in an SEC showdown this afternoon.

The No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide came into Kyle Field in College Station, TX, this afternoon to face No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies. The Aggies were battling to keep their perfect record alive while Alabama looked to climb further into the top 10.

Things were shaky for Aggies quarterback Kyle Allen. On his first pass, he nearly threw an interception. The ball deflected off a defender into the arms of a receiver for a first down. However, Allen would throw a pick six on the next drive to put Alabama up 7-0. Minkah Fitzpatrick was the recipient of the interception.

On Alabama’s next possession, running back Derrick Henry would rush for a 55-yard touchdown after he broke through the Texas A&M defense. This put the Crimson Tide up 14-0. A field goal from A&M would put the game at 14-3.

Henry would run the ball in during the early portion of the 2nd quarter to put Alabama up 21-3.

Allen would throw his second pick-six of the game in the middle of the 2nd quarter when Eddie Jackson took the ball back 93 yards for a touchdown to make it 28-6, Alabama.

Just when it seemed like Alabama was pulling away, Aggies punt returner Christian Kirk took the ball back 48 yards for a touchdown to make it 28-13.

For the second half, quarterback Kyler Murray would replace Allen under center.

Allen would come back in on the second drive of the half after Murray did nothing. He threw a quick touchdown pass to Ricky Seals-Jones to make the game 28-20, Crimson Tide.

Things continued to turn in A&M’s direction when they blocked a punt to set up great field position at Alabama’s own 29. However, they couldn’t capitalize. Alabama would later go up 34-20 after 2 more field goals.

With about 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, Allen threw another pick-six that Fitzpatrick took to the end zone for a touchdown. That marked the third one of the day.
