New York Giants superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will know on Sunday whether he can play on Monday Night Football.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham is questionable with a hamstring injury, but the Giants have a well-timed Monday night game that may give him an extra day to recover in time to play. The Giants will decide on Beckham’s playing status on Sunday after they practice, and he will have a chance to prove that his hamstring will not be a liability, according to New York Post’s Giants beat writer Paul Schwartz.

The Giants are coming off an exciting win over the San Francisco 49ers, which boosted them into first place in the NFC East with a 3-2 record. They are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles next. Beckham recorded seven catches for 121 yards and a touchdown for the Giants, but he suffered his injury during the game and forced quarterback Eli Manning to put the offense on his back.

Rueben Randle also injured his hamstring during the Sunday night game, which left the Giants without their top three wide receivers since Victor Cruz continues to sit out with a calf injury. Tight end Larry Donnell stepped up as a major weapon for Manning, as he caught the game-winning touchdown pass with just over 20 seconds remaining.

Despite Manning’s heroics, the Giants will want their star wide receiver back as soon as possible since he has continued to show ability as an elite NFL receiver. He came up with his second 100-yard receiving game of the year on Sunday while making his third touchdown catch.
