Twitter couldn’t stop talking about Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool debut
Liverpool FC traveled to White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in Premier League action, but the game meant much more for Liverpool than simply being a top-level EPL matchup. This was the arrival of their savior, Jurgen Klopp, as manager of their club. So too began the hopes of a league title in the future of the Reds.
However, it became clear relatively quickly that this was going to be a process for Klopp and Liverpool, as the affair with Spurs was a trudging one. Liverpool often dropped back into a defensive style, ready to turn away Tottenham who had the majority of the quality chances in this game. The contest ultimately ended in a 0-0 draw.
Even if it was a scoreless draw, that didn’t stop Liverpool fans, haters, and critics alike from voicing their opinions on social media. It was a storm of virtually every sort of emotion and opinion possible to have.
There were those that remained logical:
You can see when Liverpool lose the ball straight away they have 10 players back protecting their box

Klopp starts from defence up
The challenge for Jurgen Klopp is to get them pressing for majority of the game. It'll take time but it'll come. Exciting.

But since logic isn’t always fun, there were those who just decided to make jokes about Klopp, the coverage of Klopp, and Liverpool in general:
Wish BT Sport would stop interrupting this Jurgen Klopp documentary with their occasional cuts to the football match
— Dan Silver (@dansilver_) October 17, 2015
Klopp at the sideline would be so much more interesting with Balotelli on the bench.

Once Jürgen Klopp has made Liverpool champions, he will turn his sights to solving the Israeli-Palestinian crisis #deludedreds

Some people didn’t disparage Klopp, but rather the players that he’s forced to manage:
Now with Klopp, Liverpool have a world class manager in the dugout. But the squad are still not strong enough.

Emre Can currently leading the "who benefits most from Klopp's arrival" power rankings. He's actually just places 1-6.

There were those who were just generally pessimistic:
Isn't Klopp supposed to be good at set pieces?
— Mtaa Mentality (@Mbotedenis) October 17, 2015
And then there were those who remained hopeful for Klopp’s tenure with the Reds:

Who’s to say which of these frames of mind is correct after just 90 minutes of action for Liverpool under Klopp? I have a feeling that this variety of emotions from EPL fans will be continuous over the new Liverpool man’s first few matches.
