The Baltimore Ravens will not reveal the playing status of running back Justin Forsett until Sunday’s game starts.

Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett is nursing an ankle injury, and he continues to be questionable for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Forsett is being considered a game-time decision after participating in the Ravens’ Friday practice.

The Ravens are in danger of being short-handed at running back for Week 6 since Lorenzo Taliaferro has been ruled out for the season with a foot injury, and he has already been placed on injured reserve. Rookie running back Javorius Allen is in line to receive more playing time right off the bat, but he may be given the start sooner than expected if Forsett is unable to return at full strength.

After looking sluggish in his first three games (including of a 13-yard game showing Week 3), Forsett broke out with 150 rushing yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. He then notched another 121 yards and his first touchdown of the season against the Cleveland Browns.

The Ravens have already experienced bad luck with injuries this season, especially on offense. Wide receiver Steve Smith suffered a back injury while tight end Crockett Gillmore has been out with a calf injury. It seems like the Ravens are keeping their cards close and planning to start Forsett though, as they are just holding him out as a precautionary measure.
