The Kansas City Chiefs entered the year with a group of talented weapons on offense in running back Jamaal Charles, tight end Travis Kelce and receiver Jeremy Maclin.
Many expected big things from this group, but it has been nothing short of an utter disaster under head coach Andy Reid. Reid, who also serves as the play-caller, has thrown bubble screens and swing passes almost exclusively while the offensive line has surrendered a league-high 24 sacks, including three in the first half against the Minnesota Vikings.
NFL Network analyst and former Super Bowl-winning head coach Brian Billick took to Twitter and stated the obvious during the game. It needed to be said.
The #Chiefs offense is an absolute mess.

Against the Vikings, who are missing defensive end Everson Griffen with an illness, the Chiefs have been atrocious. Alex Smith has completed 3-of-5 passes for 14 yards, while being sacked twice for 11 yards. Overall, the passing game has netted three yards. On the ground, Charcandrick West is leading the team with six yards on one carry. Kansas City has 16 rushing yards on five carries. The leading receiver fullback Anthony Sherman with one catch for 13 yards. Maclin has contributed in a huge way with -2 yards.
Kansas City has compiled 19 total yards of offense midway through the second quarter, while amassing 25 penalty yards. The offense has two first downs, showcasing an ability to be rancid beyond words.
At this point, the only questions with the Chiefs are whether Reid will be fired, and how high will the team be drafting?
