The Kansas City Chiefs went full Andy Reid and managed to force their own fumble late in the fourth quarter.
Whenever it looks like the Kansas City Chiefs are about to roll to a win in comeback fashion — or in a fashion that any other functional team would succeed in — take your bet off the table.
Despite trailing 13-0 for basically the entire game, the Chiefs came roaring back against the Vikings n the fourth quarter to make it a 16-10 game with just under five minutes left in the contest. It was looking at this point that the Chiefs would be able to comeback and finally get a win they should get.
Donald Stephenson had other plans though.
After a thrilling pass to Travis Kelce, the Chiefs fumbled the ball away to the Vikings — thanks to Stephenson forcing a fumble on his own player.
That’s the definition of going full Chiefs right there. This is the life of a Kansas City fan in a nutshell, as the Chiefs make you think you can have nice things and then Andy Reid finds a way to make sure nice things will never be had. Stevenson forcing a fumble on his own player is classic Chiefs and the epitome of this season.
