The Kansas City Chiefs have been nothing short of a disaster in the 2015 National Football League regular season. On Sunday afternoon against the Minnesota Vikings at TCF Bank Stadium, the Chiefs are not only losing in the fourth quarter, but have also lost star receiver Jeremy Maclin.

Maclin was trying to catch a third-quarter pass but could not reel in Alex Smith’s throw. Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn was in tight coverage and landed hard on Maclin, driving his head and shoulder into the turf. Maclin was barely moving for a few moments before Kansas City’s medical personnel rushed onto the field.

Maclin eventually walked off the field, but needed trainers to hold each of his arms. At one point, Maclin was walking off but then took a knee before gathering himself. The receiver then went to the locker room and has not returned, with the team yet to give any update on his status.

The youngster was brought over in free agency, with general manager John Dorsey signing Maclin to a five-year, $55 million deal. Maclin has been producing for Kansas City, registering 36 receptions for 483 yards and a touchdown. Considering the rest of the offense has been completely useless, Maclin’s production has been epic.

Kansas City is trailing 13-10 in the fourth quarter, leaving it in tough position against Minnesota. The Vikings have led the entire game, mostly because Kansas City can’t score a point or gain a yard.
