The Cincinnati Bengals are on their way to a sixth straight victory to start the National Football League season, thanks in some part to wide receiver Marvin Jones.
Jones, who is often the silent weapon of the Cincinnati offense thanks to A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard, scored a beautiful 11-yard touchdown, that included some acrobatics at the end. The Buffalo Bills are still trying to figure out what happened.
Cincinnati looks like a totally different team this year compared to the first our under quarterback Andy Dalton. The team has often been criticized for not being able to punch the ball into the end zone with enough effectiveness, leaving Dalton to throw interceptions and the offense to settle for too many field goals. This year, Dalton is on an All-Pro pace and the defense is humming along despite missing inside linebacker Vontaze Burfict.
The Bengals might be able to clinch the AFC North before Thanksgiving, with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns all looking extremely ordinary. If things continue to click this well, Cincinnati could be looking at a BYE week in the postseason for the first time in forever.
