Steve Smith Sr. is really doing his best to get us to beg him not to retire from the game of football after this catch
This is probably the last season that we will all have the pleasure of seeing Steve Smith Sr. play the great game of football, and we have been consistently been reminded this season that it’s a shame. It’s a shame because he has proven that he can still play at a high level and he was out there doing it again on Sunday.
Smith and the Ravens were down 19-6 late in the third quarter against the San Francisco 49ers and they needed to get some sort of comeback rolling before it’s too late. Well, Smith may have gotten the Ravens directly on that comeback trail.
With about two minutes to go in the third, Joe Flacco fired up a ball towards Smith in the end zone and the veteran came down with this absolutely amazing catch for the score.
Then, in what was probably the best move from all of this, he broke out the Pee Wee Herman dance.
This man just can’t leave the NFL, it just would not be the same without him around. Please don’t leave, Steve.
