The Arizona Cardinals lost their first game of the season to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tyrann Mathieu took to Twitter afterwords.

When you’re known as the Honey Badger, that’s a part of  you that never dies. Tyrann Mathieu is the Honey Badger and while he has moved away from that persona after his falling-out with LSU, he still has that part of him burning within his soul — and it came out after the Cardinals first loss of the season on Sunday.

Before the game, Mathieu was pretty pumped up for some action against the Steelers:

That was short lived though, as while the Cardinals didn’t get blown out by the Steelers, they didn’t win either. After the game, Mathieu took to Twitter to answer trolls tweeting at him and went full Honey Badger.

The Cardinal probably won’t be thrilled that he went off like this on fans, as the NFL is very precious about how their players carry themselves away from the game.

But you can’t poke Mathieu and not expect the Honey Badger to come out. While it wasn’t the most positive tie in the safety’s life but this version of the Honey Badger will remind us all that Mathieu may be small but he has big bite.
