After suffering a hamstring injury, Michael Vick could be out at least one week for the Pittsburgh Steelers

While the Pittsburgh Steelers got the very impressive win on Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals, things did not go all that well for backup quarterback Michael Vick. The veteran left the eventual win with a hamstring injury, and now we’re finding out that this particular injury could leave him out at least a short period of time.

On Monday, Vick revealed that there is a slight tear in the hamstring. He’s not completely ruling out being available this Sunday when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs, but there seems to be a good shot that he’ll be sitting out for at least one week to heal.

Now, the somewhat bright side to this is that starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger might be ready to come back to the lineup this Sunday after missing the last few weeks with a knee injury. So, that being said, if Vick does have to sit on the bench for this one, they might not have to go with third-string quarterback Landry Jones. The former Oklahoma star didn’t play all that badly, but he’s not exactly the ideal quarterback to have in the starting lineup, even against the Chiefs.

Vick this season has completed 40 of 66 passing attempts for 371 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
