Everyone in Toronto is watching their season slip away
As the Kansas City Royals close in on putting the Toronto Blue Jays on the brink of elimination, everyone in Toronto can’t help but watch in silence.
These are truly the darkest of times in the playoffs for the Toronto Blue Jays. It has been their best season in over two decades, but the ride could soon be over. As the Royals continued to pile up on the score in Game 4 of the ALCS, all anyone could do was watch as Kansas City put the Blue Jays right on the brink of elimination as they closed in on a 3-1 series lead.
Whether it was fans in the stands or John Gibbons in the dugout, it was stunning silence in a stadium that has been boisterous all season long.
The season is certainly not over by any stretch of the word for Toronto. They could very well come back and win the next three. Bigger deficits have been overcome in the playoffs and the Blue Jays came back from down two games to none in the ALDS against the Texas Rangers.
The problem is with the way the Royals are playing, it doesn’t seem like the Blue Jays have any answer for them and everyone’s faith in Toronto is slowly slipping away as a result.
