Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has a new addition to the family, as he bought himself a pet monkey.

While Dez Bryant tries to heal from his foot injury, he has spent his downtime welcoming a new addition to the Bryant family. That new addition to the family, is none other than a pet monkey.

Bryant named the pet monkey “Dallas Bryant” and posted a photo of his new little buddy to Instagram.

While most people get cats or dogs as a pet, Bryant obviously has watched Pirates of the Caribbean one too many times and thought having a monkey of his own would be a good idea.

The adorable little monkey has already quickly become a fan favorite and has been blessed with a name that Cowboys fans have been proud of. Bryant isn’t the first athlete to buy an exotic pets as many others have in the past, including former NFL defensive lineman Darnell Dockett, who claimed to have owned exotic pets such as alligators and even a tiger at one point.

While monkeys can be aggressive, especially larger ones, they are probably a lot more friendly than something that is several hundred pounds and could eat a human in one bite.
