New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking forward to making his debut at Anfield.
On Thursday night, Liverpool hosts Rubin Kazan in Europa League action. Aside from the European competition, it is a special night because it marks the debut of new manager Jurgen Klopp at Anfield in front of the home fans.
“I’m really looking forward to this game, it’s by night, by light and a special atmosphere,” Klopp said, via Sky Sports.
“It’s my first home game and hopefully we can take this special atmosphere and transport it into the game. I want to go there, I want to feel it. That’s what we’re all waiting for, these special moments.”
Klopp also said he wouldn’t be bothered if the crowd was a little more into the game than usual.
“Of course if somebody wants to surprise us and be louder and wilder than ever in your life, try to! We have to concentrate but we have to be open for help from outside. If somebody wants to help us then that’s cool,” Klopp said.
Klopp also discussed his desire to build upon their efforts in the Tottenham game as they work towards moving in the right direction.
There is no denying that atmosphere at Anfield will be electric on Thursday.
