NBA rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis has become the talk of New York Knicks basketball. His former hair style is also becoming all the talk

The 2015 NBA Draft was certainly one of the most interesting drafts in NBA history. Top European prospect Kristaps Porzingis was also definitely one of the most interesting picks when the New York Knicks took him with the fourth overall pick in the draft.

Whether people loved the pick or hated the pick of Porzingis, there was no doubt all eyes were going to be on him because he was such a high pick as the Knicks continue to reshape their roster in hopes of becoming a contender once again.

Not only was he highly touted coming out in the draft, it turns out he also had some interesting hair back in the day. Growing up as a youth in Latvia, Porzingis adopted the popular hair of the NBA that he grew up as a youth watching.

While guys like Ben Wallace, Allen Iverson and others rocked the cornrows as the popularity of the NBA continued to skyrocket for the sense of style in the league, Kristaps Porzingis also had cornrows as a kid!

It’s clear from the beginning that his hair game was on point and that he was destined to make it to the NBA. As the cornrow phase in the NBA faded, so did that of a young Porzingis, who is back to a regular crew cut as he gets ready to embark on what will hopefully be a long and successful NBA career.

Here is a video detailing the career of Porzingis to date, including photos of him and his awesome cornrows.
