If you’re going to be interviewed on live television, make sure you listen to what’s being said

The Toronto Blue Jays need wins in Games 6 and 7 of the ALCS against the Kansas City Royals to advance to the World Series. After winning Game 5 by a score of 7-1, though, Blue Jays fans are still as passionate and as hopeful as ever that their team will be in the next round. One fan was so confident in her Jays advancing that she thought a news station was giving her World Series tickets. The only problem is that no one was giving her tickets at all.

In one of the greatest lessons ever in why you should listen to people when they talk to you—especially when you’re being interviewed on television—a Blue Jays fan was at the end of her interview when the reporter asked if she was getting tickets to the next round. Instead, she thought that she had just been given tickets and reacted as such:

The best part about this is the reporter start to try and explain to the shrieking fan the miscommunication and then just signing off so she doesn’t have to do it on live television. That’s perfect.

Hopefully that fan does get tickets to the World Series if the Blue Jays do make it there, though. If she’s going to freak out to that degree about getting them, I think she probably deserves to go and support her team—and to help get over the embarrassment of losing her mind on television over being asked a question.
